Starting in 2004, he began with DOSAPLAZA and quickly moved up the ranks due to his dedication and hard work. By 2011, he had risen to the position of director, overseeing the brand’s growth and success both in India and internationally over 17 years.
In 2021, despite resigning from his directorial position at DOSAPLAZA, Vinodkumar retained a stake in the company and ventured into Swadesia. Swadesia offers a unique twist on traditional Indian cuisine, focusing initially on leading universities like Amity University (located in Kolkata, Noida, Manesar, and Mumbai) and O P Jindal University (in Raigarh). Recognizing the poor quality and hygiene of college canteen food in India, Vinodkumar transformed Swadesia’s approach, creating a restaurant-like ambiance and service within campus settings.
This strategic shift has resulted in tremendous success for Swadesia, highlighting Vinodkumar’s extensive experience and innovative spirit in the culinary world. His ability to identify market gaps and deliver high-quality dining experiences underscores his leadership in revolutionizing university dining in India.
